Edit a Debtor

A debtor can be edited to add or change demographic, account, contact, employment, and ability to pay information.

Step 1: Open a debtor.

Step 2: Click the Edit Debtor button from the Actions Panel.

Step 3: In the Edit Debtor window, update the debtor’s information. The following options are available:

  • Enter updated information in the text fields
  • Select new options from the drop-down menus
  • Add additional phone or address types by clicking the + icon



    Remove phone or address types by clicking the - icon

     


  • Change any existing address or phone types by selecting the tab to edit, and clicking the drop-down arrow that appears.

Notice the tabs at the bottom of the window which contain additional debtor information.

Step 4: To add a new contact or edit employment information, click the Contacts/Employment tab.

Step 5: Click  to add a new contact,  to delete a contact, and the  icon to use a pre-saved contact.

 

Step 6: Change any existing contact types by selecting the tab to edit, and clicking the drop-down arrow that displays.

Step 7: Click Save Changes.

Step 8: A note is automatically created in the Debtor Notes with information about the demographic changes.
