Client Install Instructions

 

Before you begin:

With the current Revenue Results production release make sure that Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 is installed on each computer that you will be installing Revenue Results on. If the computers will be used to create, edit or print letters, Microsoft Word 2007 or higher must also be installed.

Client Workstation Installation Instructions

  • Run the client installation as the "Run as Administrator."                                                                                                                                    

 

  • Revenue Results Client MSI extracts to a temparary location, the InstallShield Wizard will guide you through the program setup.

 

  • Enter the IP Address or Hostname of the server of which the Revenue Results Server software is installed. Enter the Organization Name of which was created and assigned during the server software installation. If you do not have this information, please contact a RevQ representative.
  •  Anyone who uses this computer (Default option): This provides access to Revenue Results for all windows profiles.
  • Click Next

  •  Use the default installation directory or choose a new destination.
  • Click Next.

  • Click Next to begin the Installation process

  • Updating System

 

  • Click Finish to complete the installation. 

  • Repeat these on each computer requiring the Revenue Results software.

 

  • Now that the software is successfully installed the next step will be to configure the software to "Run as an Administrator." This can be accomplished by enabling the software's compatibility privilege level. This can be obtained by editing the Revenue Results properties.

 

Verifying connection

Before you begin:

Verify TCP Port 4242 is open and listening for communication on your network.

To verify that the Client Software can connect, try logging in. Open Revenue Results and type in Administrator as the username. If you do not have the password, please contact RevQ.
