Define Debtor Templates

To increase the functionality of Revenue Results the department, can customize the debtor templates. This streamlines data entry by rearranging the order of the fields to match the order of data entry, or to remove fields that are unnecessary to your department. It also allows creation of templates specific to the needs of your department.

Step 1: Navigate to Administration < Debtors < Define Templates < Your Choice:
(Note: there are two Templates that are available to Define. They are all very similar; this example will use the View Debtor option)
View Debtor- The Debtor Folder view on the screen
Edit Debtor – The Edit Debtor window when the Action option is selected.

Step 2: The Edit Debtor View box pops up

Step 3: Click on a Pencil to Edit the Section you need.  Options are Main field view, Top Debtor name strip, Account Summary, or the Account List at the bottom.


 Step 4:  Templates Tabs. 
Template Tabs correspond with the tabs at the bottom of the Debtor Folder. Click any tab and you will notice a pencil on each tab to edit.  Use the red x to delete a tab, Green + to add a new tab, or the arrows to move the tabs around.

Step 5:  Click the Pencil to edit the field section.   Notice that “Default” is displayed as the only option.  This is the Default Debtor View Screen. 

**The majority of the time editing the Default template is the best thing to do.  Additional Templates can be created and templates can be assigned to each user differently if there is a division in the fields seen for each person.  To define Users to different templates, click here.

  • Click the + sign to add additional templates

Step 5:  Template Options- Display Grid

On the Debtor Main Information tab there is an option for how the accounts will display at the bottom.  This is found in the Display Grid section.  Traditionally the account section on the Debtor Screen is the Account List style which looks like this:

The Grid Method can now look like this, to display the Account, Line Items and Victims (wiht the Victim Module) all in one place.

Step 6:  Template Section Options
Special Template Views are available for several tabs in the product.  These are view formats that have already been created in the background to make the screens easier to view.
The Main information tab should always have the Debtor Main View selected.
Payment Plan Details tab should have the Payment Plan Special template view.
Notes tab should always have the Notes Special template view.

Financial Transaction View to display all Payments, Reversals and Adjustments for this Debtor

Step 7:  Adding, Editing, Removing and Rearrange fields. 

  • Several fields are included by default.  Highlight a field and select the arrows on the right side to reorder or Red – to delete a field.

  • To add a new field, click in the first blank spot at the bottom of the list.

ALWAYS click in the Field column first to get the drop down box of available fields.

Select the Field that is needed and then click in the Label column and it will auto populate the name based on field name. 


            Use the Arrows to reorder the field placement as needed.

Step 8:  Extra Options
Display Width- This option alters the width of the field on the screen.  If left blank it will default to be the length of the viewable area.   Numbers such as 100, 200, 300 will create a smaller field. 
In this example the order of these fields shown are: Blank, 100, 200, and 300.


           
            Bold- Select if this field should be a Bold Font or Regular

Display Height- Choose the display height for the screen for any STRING field.  This will ensure all data will be displayed by wrapping if the data field will hold lots of data.

In this example:  Blank will default to height of data in box, and 40 was used for the Filing Frequency field.  Notice it created a scroll arrow within this field box.


           
Debtor Type- Select if the field is available on an Individual Debtor View screen or on a Company View Screen.  For example a Company would not have a SSN, but an Individual will not have an FEIN #.  If left blank it will be available on both views.

Step 9:  Click OK to save.  The Debtor Folder screen should change to reflect changes immediately on the workstation performing the changes.  All other users will need to LOG Out and Log back in to see the changes.

*****REMEMBER, THIS HAS ONLY CHANGED THE DEBTOR MAIN VIEW SCREEN SO FAR. 
TO CHANGE THE EDIT DEBTOR SCREEN YOU WILL GO THROUGH THE SAME STEPS IN THE EDIT DEBTOR MENU:

Additional Options:

1. Click the Pencil on the Top strip with the Debtor Name and select the number to display in ( ).  Traditionally this is the system generated RevQ Debtor Number, but now you can also select Debtor Reference 1 or to display no number at all.

2. Select from the drop down list the Number that shoudl display
