Change Account Type

You can change a single account type for one that is already in the system. This is helpful if you have entered information incorrectly.

Be sure to consider the impact of changing an account type if previous work exists on the account.  Reporting and financials transactions will now report under the new account type.


To change an account type:

Step 1: Open the account folder of the account you wish to change.


Step 2: Navigate to Operations > Account > Change Account Type.


Step 3: In the Change Account Type Warning window, click Yes.


Step 4: From the Account type drop-down list, select the new account type, and click Change Type.
